Sydney Open 08
I am currently working on ideas for Sydney Open 08. Sydney Open is “the largest exhibition of architecture in the southern hemisphere. Open access to historic and contemporary buildings throughout the Sydney CBD, exclusive opportunities to explore new apartments and industrial and heritage sites.” I thought A good idea would be to create a large format A3 booklet unstapled to represent the architecture to its full potential and hint at the plans of a building. This concept was rejected as the client saw this format was too impractical for use on the day. Sticking to the A5 format of previous years, but will update the aesthetics.
For the poster and marketing paraphernalia I am looking at making the title a die cut to hint at what is under the cover. I will work on the right typeface and image to execute this effect.
